It can be easy on a long journey or road trip to break your normal sleeping schedule, and if there’s no hotel nearby to stay in the only option is to get some sleep in the car. This doesn’t have to be an unpleasant experience though, with some easy relaxation methods those essential hours of sleep can be had.
Take off your shoes and wear loose clothing if possible. Cotton or wool clothing and blankets are perfect for sleeping in the car as they tend to dissipate heat more effectively than synthetic fabrics, this will help your body regulate it’s temperature better.
Block Out The Light
Try and block out any light and noise as best you can. A sleeping mask and earplugs are a quick and effective solution to this, service stations and shops are also perfect place to get a hold of them.
