The New Mazda2

The new Mazda2 is causing a stir on the new automobile scene. Nippy at 0-62mph in 8.7 seconds with low CO2 emissions and fuel consumption, this speedy hatchback is an impressive performer. It sports a new exterior design named KODO, SKYACTIV Technology and the latest connectivity and infotainment features.

It certainly looks a lot more elegant and sports-car-like than the original Mazda1 with 16″ alloy wheels as standard to seal that look along with the mentioned KODO design. KODO meaning Soul of Motion is the name for the vehicle’s forward-leaning stance and the ergonomic and high tech interior, which allows a comfortable drive within.

The technological suite inside is impressive. A smart city brake support system (SCBS) is installed which utilises built-in sensors to monitor the oncoming distance of the car in front to maintain a safe driving speed and will even apply the brakes if it detects a possible collision. An active driving display is also featured. Positioned on top of the meter hood this projects information into the drivers line of sight.
