When painting a car, either as part of a repair or to improve an existing paint job, getting the right shade of paint right is important. When it comes to car paint, red is not always the exact same red as the one you may need. Different manufactures have different shades of paint, and they are mixed and matched by using paint codes.

For example a Ferrari in Azzurro Hyperio (a light, sky blue colour) comes under the code, 512. A Honda in Regent Silver is NH612M. These codes are important, Hondas regent silver has two variations and that doesn’t include all of the other shades of silver like ‘Satin Silver’ or ‘Titan Silver’.

Knowing the code will help a great deal when getting repairs done by workshops. They will know the exact colour to match the car with, avoiding any expensive re-sprays that may of been required.
